Classroom Rules and Rewards

Behavior Policy

THIRD GRADE BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS:
1.      Be respectful to others.
2.     Be respectful to property.
3.    Be respectful to yourself.

Discipline Plan

Your child will start each day with a series of colored cards. Every morning the students begin with a green card. The goal is to end the day with the green card still showing on top. This means that the student had an excellent day! If a student chooses to break a rule, he/she flips their card. Each student will have a Weekly Progress Report that will be colored in at the end of the day with the corresponding color of their card. The designated colored card and its consequence are listed below:

Card Color and Consequences for Behavior

Green Card: No offenses- Excellent!
Yellow Card: 1st offense- Warning
Blue Card: 2nd offense- 5 minutes in the
detention room at recess

Purple: 3rd offense- 10 minutes in the
detention room at recess

Red Card: 4th offense- All of recess in the
detention room and a call home

Orange Card: 5th offense- Office Referral
